(WFMRAI) is located in the north Texas Town of Flower Mound which is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth and just minutes north of the DFW airport. The association includes: Wellington of Flower Mound Phases 1-9, Brandywine at Wellington, Hillcrest at Wellington Phases 1-2, Wichita Chase Phases 1-4 (including Lakewood and the Oaks of Wellington),Wellington Estates Phases 1-3 and Wellington Manor.   1. Wellington Basketball Sharpshooting Contest

    Event Starts: August 09, 2025

    The Wellington Basketball Sharpshooting Contest will be held on Saturday, August 9, starting at 9:00 am.  The contest is FREE and is open to area youths (boys and girls) ages 7 to 13.  This year the contest will have two age divisions for girls and three age divisions for boys.  We also have a bracket for teams consisting of a parent (or 14+sibling) and a child.  Trophies will be awarded to the top three contestants in all brackets.  Sign up on our website at:  Wellington of Flower Mound HOA - Basketball Sharpshoot(wellingtonhoa.net)  Approximate starting times for the brackets are:

    Time      Boys                Girls               Open

    9:00am   youth 7-8        junior 7-9

    9:30am   junior 9-10      senior 10-13

    10am      senior 11-13                           child + parent or sibling

  2. Wellington One Fur Fun Dog Walk, Festival, and Pickleball Tournament

    Event Starts: October 25, 2025

    Saturday, October 25

    This festival is free to the public and all proceeds go to benefit Humane Tomorrow. Mark your calendar for the annual charity dog walk and festival to be held in the clubhouse parking lot at 3520 Furlong Drive East. This year we are including a Pickleball Tournament!  The walk starts at 8:30 am; pet costume contest starts at 9 am, and the pickleball tournament starts at 9:15 am.  Activities include:
    Sponsor booths
    Water and snacks
    Free bandanas for pets participating in the walk
    Free pet costume contest with prizes for the pet costumes receiving the most votes
    1-mile walk (humans with or without pets)

    FREE tickets for the one-mile walk are available through Eventbrite.  Register here   Each registration includes 1 voting ticket in the pet costume contest. You may register online until 3 pm on October 24, and after that you can register in person starting at 8:30 am on the day of the event, October 25.  Costume contest voting tickets will also be sold at the event ($1 donation to Humane Tomorrow for each voting ticket purchased).

    The One Fur Fun Pickleball Tournament is all level, with divisions for men, women and mixed doubles.  Each division is limited to a maximum of 12 teams of two (36 teams total).  Cost to register is $45 per person for the first division, and $25 to add a second division.  1st place division winners will receive a trophy and a $50 gift card, and the 2nd place winners will receive a trophy and a $25 gift card.

    Notice to all who have registered:  Early packet pick up will be at the Wellington clubhouse on Friday, October 24, from 11 am until 3 pm, but starting at 8:00 am the day of the event you may sign in at the registration table to let us know you are participating in the pet costume contest and receive your goody bag, voting ticket, and a bandana for your pet.  Plenty of parking is available next door in the Children's Courtyard/Primrose School parking lots.  

    Proceeds from the event will be donated to Humane Tomorrow, a Flower Mound pet rescue organization. For more information, a list of sponsors and to register for the 1-mile walk  CLICK HERE.
