The Wellington Neighborhood
The Wellington of Flower Mound Residential Association, Inc. (WFMRAI) is located in the north Texas Town of Flower Mound which is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth and just minutes north of the DFW airport. The association includes:Wellington of Flower Mound Phases 1-9, Brandywine at Wellington, Hillcrest at Wellington Phases 1-2, Wichita Chase Phases 1-4 (including Lakewood and the Oaks of Wellington),Wellington Estates Phases 1-3 and Wellington Manor.
The community was established in 1995 with the first occupied house located in Phase 1
The clubhouse was expanded in 2010
The locker rooms remodeled in 2015
The pools refurbished in 2017
The playgrounds renovated in 2018 and 2019
No special assessments since the establishment of the community in 1995

The Wellington main clubhouse complex, located at 3520 Furlong Drive, includes 5 lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a putting green, a sand volleyball court,a playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a tot pool, cabanas, an athletic club/fitness center managed by The Cooper Aerobics Center, 2 meeting rooms available for rental and locker rooms. The Wellington west complex, located at 3300 Mandalay Drive, includes a junior Olympic-size pool, cabanas and a playground.

The community newsletter, The Wellington Word, is published quarterly.The multi-purpose room (MPR) in the clubhouse contains a community bulletin board for residents to post information on upcoming school/community events, advertise services and list items for sale.
Lewisville Independent School District:
The Wellington of Flower Mound community is part of the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) and sends students to the following schools: Wellington Elementary,Liberty Elementary, McKamy Middle School, and Flower Mound High School.
