One Fur Fun Festival, Pickleball Tournament, Pet Walk, Pet Costume Contest

BREAKING NEWS: Since the weather forecast for Saturday is so uncertain right now, please be aware that there is a slight possibility that the One Fur Fun 1-mile Walk and Pet Costume Contest may be rain-delayed! We do plan to hold it even if it's drizzling, so bring an umbrella if it looks like a possibility of rain. Also, with regard to the pickleball tournament, some of our matches may be delayed or that we may be forced to postpone some of the matches to Sunday, weather permitting. Safe playing conditions for participants is a primary concern, so we are closely monitoring the rain forecast for Saturday. As of right now, all events and matches are going forward on Saturday as scheduled. You can also come tomorrow (Friday Oct.24) to the Wellington clubhouse conference room between 11 am and 4 pm to pickup your goody bag and shirt. We will try to post any changes in the schedule on the front page of the Wellington website and will also send out emails to those who are already registered, so please check your email for further notifications and details. We apologize for the inconvenience.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! On Saturday, Oct.25, 2025, Wellington Athletic Club will host a fall festival, pickleball tournament, and one-mile pet walk to celebrate friends (both people and pets), have some fun, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, get a little exercise and raise some money to help animals in need. The festival, pet walk and costume contest are free, and registration includes one free voting ticket for the pet costume contest! Participants will also be able to purchase extra voting tickets at the event for $1 per vote. All proceeds will go to benefit our partner, Humane Tomorrow. The festival will feature interactive sponsor booths, a pet costume contest (who doesn't love a dog in a Batman costume!), pet bandanas, and new for this year, a PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT, AND we sincerely hope you will join us! NEWS: All divisions in the Pickleball Tournament are FULL, and we currently have three teams that are standing by as alternates for the Mixed Doubles division in case there are any teams that become unable to attend. If you are still wanting to sign up please contact the Wellington fitness director at fitness@wellingtonhoa.net to be in line as an alternate.

The Pickleball Tournament will be all level, with men's, women's, and mixed doubles teams, and it also is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. It will be limited to 36 teams, and it will be a double elimination, so all teams are guaranteed a minimum of two games. There will be trophies for the first and second place winners in the three divisions, along with gift card awards. Please register NOW--there is a limit of twelve teams in each division, so once a division is full, no more teams can register for that event!

Women's doubles division starts at 9 am. Mixed doubles division starts at 12 pm. Men's doubles division starts at 3 pm.

NOTE: Because all divisions are now FULL, the link to register has been disabled. If you want to be on the list as an alternate please contact the Wellington fitness director (see above). Below is the link to register. Once you have filled in the form and submitted it you will be forwarded to a Humane Tomorrow page where you will make a donation for the amount you owe. If you are registering for one division the fee is $45. If you are registering for two events the fee is $70. If you want an XXL size t-shirt you will add an extra $2 to the fee so you would either pay $47 for one event or $72 for two events.
