Wellington residents can get in shape for FREE with ourgroup exercise classes! Please click on the link above for the full schedule. Class schedule may change depending on instructor availability and holiday/school schedules. Wellington’s classes are open to all Wellington residents. For all our regular classes no reservations are necessary, just show up. (Prior enrollment is necessary for boot camp classes only.) Most classes will meet in the Wellington multipurpose room, but the Wednesday morning Interval Walking class meets at Post Oak Park. For all classes bring a mat plus whatever equipment is necessary (water bottle, towel, hand weights, jump rope, resistance tubing, etc.) Classes include:

Dance Fusion: This class fuses cardio dance, pop dance and zumba-type dance movements together with easy to follow aerobic patterns.  This class meets Friday mornings at 8:45-9:30 am. Join us!

Barre Pilates:  Combines Pilates, yoga and ballet methods, incorporating small, isolated movements to tire the muscles, large range motions to elevate the heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body to make every minute count.  Barre classes sculpt the physique to create toned muscles and increase core muscle strength, flexibility, stamina, and posture.

Interval Walk:  This class is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!  Join us for a great time outside, walking (or possibly running, you can choose), and visiting with friends!  We meet at Post Oak Park, located at the corner of Flower Mound Rd. and Skillern Blvd. (parking lot entrance across the street from Darcey Ct.), then head out to walk the trails (the route is a quarter of a mile; you take as many laps as you want during the class.  You walk or run at your own pace, so the number of laps depends on your pace).  We will take interval breaks with a variety of resistance exercises based on bodyweight.  All fitness levels are welcome, and regardless of whether you are a walker, a runner, or a couch potato, you are going to LOVE this class! Bring your water! This class is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

HIIT It:  Monday and Thursday mornings 8:45-9:25 am, Tuesday evening 7:15-7:45 pm. High-intensity interval training is here!  Short bursts of high-intensity exercise with brief periods of rest in between.  Interval training helps you to more effectively burn calories and increase your fitness level in less time. Bring a mat, water, and a set of hand weights.

Core Training: Exercises that will train your core, increase strength and flexibility. Classes are held Saturdays from 8:00-8:55 am.  Bring a mat, water, and a set of hand weights.

YogaA series of flowing moves designed to help participants increase strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as learn to relax and de-stress. Children who can sit quietly and follow instruction are welcome! (Note: this is NOT a prenatal yoga class and is not intended for pregnant women. Many yoga poses are contraindicated during pregnancy.) Yoga classes are held Sunday afternoons 3:45-4:45 pm, Tuesday mornings at 8:45-9:45 am, and Tuesday evenings 6-7 pm. Bring a yoga mat, water and a towel.

Strength Yoga: Not your typical yoga class, this class will tone and strengthen your muscles using yoga poses incorporating free weights, body weight, and even stretch bands.  Connect your mind and body to build your strength and endurance mindfully.  You'll leave feeling that yoga glow of hard work and relaxation.  Bring a yoga mat and a towel. Strength Yoga is held on Thursday evenings from 7:15-8:15 pm.
